The Board View presents tasks in a kanban-style layout inside the Production Board of Duio. It focuses on task status and flow, making it easy to track progress as work moves from one stage to another.

This view is ideal for daily execution, standups, and visual progress tracking.

Purpose of Board View

Board View is designed to answer workflow-related questions, such as:

  • What is currently in progress?

  • What is blocked or pending?

  • What has been completed?

  • How is work flowing through the pipeline?

Instead of emphasizing structure or timing, Board View emphasizes state and movement.

Accessing Board View

Team members can open Board View by:

  • Clicking the Board View icon in the top-right of the Production Board

  • Selecting Board View from the Production Overview section on the Project Details page

All views remain synchronized, so changes made here are reflected elsewhere.

Board Layout

Board View organizes tasks into status columns. Common examples include:

  • Pending

  • In Progress

  • Complete

Each column represents a task status, and tasks move between columns as work progresses.

Task Interaction

Moving Tasks Between Columns

Tasks can be:

  • Dragged within a column to reorder priority

  • Dragged between columns to update their status

Status changes happen in real time and are immediately reflected across the Production Board.

Reordering Columns

Columns themselves can be reordered by dragging them left or right. This allows teams to define a workflow that matches their process.

Creating and Managing Status Columns

Adding a New Status Column

To create a new status column:

  1. Click New status list to the right of the existing columns

  2. Enter a title

  3. Optionally select a color

  4. Click Add list to confirm

Once created, admin members can add or move tasks into the new column.

Editing or Removing Status Columns

Admins can manage status columns by clicking the more menu icon in the top-right of a column.

From here, admins can:

  • Edit the column’s title

  • Change its color

  • Remove the column entirely

This allows the workflow to evolve as production needs change.

Creating Tasks from Board View

Each status column includes a New task item option.

When creating a task from Board View:

  • The task is automatically assigned the column’s status

  • The Select a Milestone option is enabled in the New Task popup

This ensures tasks created from Board View are still properly structured within phases and milestones.

Task Cards

Task items in Board View are displayed as cards that may include:

  • Task title

  • Banner image (if available)

  • Assigned members

  • Associated asset collection (if available)

  • Priority selector

Clicking on a task card opens the full task detail view.

Editing Tasks from Board View

Admin members can edit tasks by:

  • Clicking the edit icon in the bottom-right of a task card

  • Clicking the edit option from within the task detail popup

This allows quick adjustments without switching views.

Managing Task Status Outside Board View

Task status is not limited to Board View.

Status can also be changed:

  • From the task’s status dropdown in List View

  • From within the task detail view

All changes remain synchronized across views.
